All shine and spark

Like countries adrift

Into the dark

We throw the truth of it

For aren’t we all

Free from fault

And seek freedom from the frightend flesh

But we ruin it all

Now spring is back

To melt the snows

And confuse the heart

Where its warm wind blows

We’re cooking up madness

In the heat and flies

Just to have it eaten up

By their lightless fires

She rules the wastelands

With envious hands

And you lose yourself in dreams of her

Like some snake in the grass
