A Whisper - Kayak

On the edge of night

Still drowned in darkness

Hours before the morning

Moments before the first frail rays of light

Creepin' inside my sleepy harness

Reality is dawning

Over the hills where the lonely spirits hide

I’m stranded ashore, the sea withdrawing

Left on the slopes while mountains are thawing

Deeds come undone, and words unspoken

Lying here still, the chains will be broken

Cautiously trying to find my way

Through the cold mist that slowly forms

Light as a breeze comes another day

Reducing the raging storms

To a whisper

Time comes and goes

As fears and wishes

Move to the world of shadows

Still they remain, only waiting in repose

Ambushing those

Deemed unsuspicious

Aiming their bow and arrows

Straight at the heart where the wind of yearning blows

I’m facing a crowd but standing naked

Hopelessly late, and still running to make it

Always afraid of the man behind me

Searching the trough that may finally blind me

Cautiously trying to find my way

Through the cold mist that slowly forms

Time’s shifting gear to another day

Я стояв перед натовпом, але стою голий

Безнадійно пізно, і все ще намагаюся встигнути
